Fortune Dragon Chinese Food

I lived in WP more than a year before I ever ventured into Fortune Dragon.  The exterior is a little rough, so I guess I simply kept forgetting to go in there.

It’s your typical Chinese restaurant – quick service, good value, good food.

They do a lot of take out there, and have a nice little dining area inside as well.

The menu is large, offering all the things you would expect to find with Chinese food.   The soups are especially good on a cold, snowy day.

Directions – located on the main highway through town, on the corner of East Pike’s Peak and Hwy 24.  On the east side of WP, close to Banana Belt Liquors, Pizza Hut, Mangia Mangia.

We have regularly supported the Fortune Dragon since its inception, both dining in and ordering takeout. To our sadness, the food quality has deteriorated in the last year or so. We have not had consistently flavorful meals there since we can remember. It makes us very dismayed, because we believe in supporting local businesses. What used to taste fresh and made on the spot now tastes processed. And we have had some bad pieces of “meat” in our dishes. We want to rave about Fortune Dragon like we used to, and are sincerely hoping they will turn this around. They are nice people.

I am new to the area, living at Westwoods Trce. I LOVE their food. I have lived in many places around the US, and along with the service, everything is great! The owners are very very nice! Their soups especially “hit the spot” when looking for something light, but filling.

Love The Fortune Dragon. The have a very large menu, excellent service and prices were good. We were very pleasantly surprised.

I prefer Fortune Dragon over the other Chinese restaurant in town – food is always more flavorful and fresh (the veggies at least). It’s also one of the best deals in town if you get lunch – only around $7 for an entire meal. You can barely do that at a fast food place anymore unless you get unhealthy junk off the $1 menu.
